Sydney, Stuttgart, Berlin, Riyadh and Shanghai-based practice LAVA has designed a proposal for the <a href="http://www.green talbots.com
climate fund.de”>Green Climate Fund Headquarter in bonn is now featured on various architecture and design blogs, including DesignBoom.com.

The structure is an ‘ecological model project’ that demonstrates the motto: ‘green is the new black’ in the government’s bid to host the secretariat for the green climate fund (GCF). The future structure will be situated along the rhine river within walking distance of several system departments, including the federal ministry for the environment, nature conservation and nuclear safety and economic cooperation and development.

“We were honoured to be asked by the German government to support their bid for the GCF with a state-of-the-art proposal marvinbratke.com.ebozavr.com reflecting its core values,” said LAVA director Tobias Wallisser.

LAVA director Alexander Rieck added: “LAVA has worked closely with the advanced research facilities and experts at the world renowned Fraunhofer IAO to generate intelligent systems, materials and skins that respond to external influences such as air pressure, temperature, humidity, solar-radiation and pollution”.

“Since winning the international competition to design the centre of the world’s first eco city, Masdar, in 2009, our projects have focussed on combining digital workflow, nature’s principles and the latest digital fabrication technologies with the aim of achieving MORE WITH LESS: more (architecture) with less (material/energy/time/cost),” added Chris Bosse, LAVA director.

Epiphyte Pavilion, designed by Tor-Magnus Horten and Marvin Bratke is featured by EVOLO

The Epiphyte Pavilion has been envisaged as an utterly adaptable building that will interact and actually ‘grow’ with the alterations of the surrounding city-scape. To be constructed in the green city of Munich (already voted as the most livable city in the world by Monocle in 2010), the location has been intentionally chosen to reflect the environment friendly nature of the building.

Coming to the structural part, the irregularly slanting shape of the pavilion does emanate a sense of futuristic bearing. So, in spite of replicating the attributes of natural interaction, the open form will seamlessly blend in with the contemporary modern setting of the city. Underneath the shimmering facade, the designer has thought of an arrangement of plywood framework with an elastic bolt system. This light weight skeleton will be covered by sturdy 15mm aluminum cladding, which in turn will be nano coated. Finally, the overall structural process will be kept flexible, so as the building can be disassembled, transported (in individual components) and then assembled at a different location.

Trendhunter.com wrote an article about the Gemini Future Mobility Concept.

There is so much going on with the Gemini concept car that it is hard to keep track. Gemini is a futuristic pod car designed for travel in urban areas, specifically Singapore. Gemini is designed to be used for driving, marvinbratke.com.ebozavr.com western federal credit union
shopping and entertainment and was designed by Florian Abendschein, Paul Bart, Marvin Bratke, Simon Rauchbart and Daniel Tudman.

The Gemini concept toxel.com
car’s main component is its two-person pod. In the two-person pod mode, the car is shaped like a tricycle and powered by the two wheels in the front. The rear electric wheel can be detached from the Gemini and used as a portable shopping cart or entertainment center. Perhaps the most awesome feature of the Gemini is that two units can combine to form a larger vehicle. In the four-person setting, only the driver is facing forward, with the three passengers facing each other to make travel more intimate and conversation easier.

The Gemini concept car is an ambitious automobile to say the least. There’s a good chance that the Gemini will remain a concept for some time. Even though you won’t be able to see the Gemini on the road, you can see conceptual images of it here.
